Susan Everingham, President, Chair of the Board and Executive Director

Susan Everingham founded the Homework Club in 1998 as a California Public Benefit Corporation with (501)c(3) status. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from a small tutoring service meeting in a neighborhood recreation center to a well-regarded education service provider with 12 middle school programs in Bay Area counties: Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Mateo, and Sonoma.

Prior to founding Homework Club, Susan lived and worked in Japan, where she founded an English-language after school academy that served 750 students. She is particularly attuned to the importance of multi-cultural sensitivity and awareness. Susan's MBA program emphasized social entrepreneurship, a field that seeks to apply business methods to non-profit management.

Linda H. Graber, Ph.D., Director of Community Relations

Linda has worked in the education field in various capacities since the 1970s. She taught middle school, elementary school, and worked in science curriculum development. Her science curriculum innovations won the California Golden Bell Award and a Marin County Office of Education award for success in mainstreaming special education students into the science classroom. She wrote Homework Club's distance learning modules used to train newly-hired tutors in the necessary specialized classroom skills. Linda is responsible to interface with community supporters who would like to share in Homework Club's vision of success for middle school students with academic needs.
